Drink and Doodle in Portsmouth 4th April 2009

Being the first Portsmouth Independent comic creators / enthusiasts minicon.

Relax with a drink as you read, swap, create and discuss homemade comics.

Art and Animations also welcome. Actually anything interesting is welcome, come to think of it. Why not.

We cordially invite all independent comic/zine producers, artists, animators and enthusiasts to drop in and get involved.

The aim is to provide a varied selection of small press and artwork for free, swap or to sell. All types of Producers / artists are very encouraged to bring their work.

Activities on the day include live comic creation, a mini-comic workshop, a collaborative strip for publication, mass-doodling and collage, and well...some beers and a bit of blether like.

The event is in the 1st Floor Function Room above the Sky Football bar. So go up the stairs!

(This is an over 18s only event. Although no ID will be asked for.)

This is a daytime event, but you won't be kicked out of the pub until midnight. Besides, there's loads to do on Albert Road - You'll be spoilt for choice for eating and drinking and shopping. (Ian's Comic Shop has a great varied selection) Plus a vast stretch of sea front is minutes aways. Lots of B&B's are local if you need to stay over.
